Allegheny Construction Group Headquarters
Location: Bridgeville, PA
Owner: Allegheny Realty Group
Architect: In-House Design / Butler Buildings
Description: Construction of the brand new 20,000 square foot building from the ground up. Office features state of the art estimating suite, very little free-standing furniture in the building because everything was designed and crafted as a built-in: desks, tables, work and drafting surfaces. The building also features a maintenance garage with industrial sized overhead doors, designed with mezzanine for a workshop.
Allegheny Construction Group’s original mission when Laura Deklewa acquired the company in 1998 was pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB). In designing and building the new headquarters, show casing what can be done with a pre-engineered structure to create an eye-catching and functional design was paramount. The metal building company challenged the in-house A-typical design element because they were beyond their manufacturing capabilities. The in-house PEMB plan ended up proving to be not only ingenious, it also branded the company with colors on the exterior steel beams, primarily purple, used in Allegheny Construction Groups corporate logo and identity. All of the exposed exterior steel and trim was sent out and coated with high-performance automobile paint that met the Pantone Matching System (PMS) colors used in Allegheny Construction Group’s branding.
