Description: High bay storage facility for overflow of library books at the Hillman Library.

The new facility will hold 3.4 million books.5,640 lineal feet of static shelving, units are 30 feet high. The concrete slab required a flat floor with an FF rating of 45. Pre-engineered metal building. Installed a safety fall protection system on both new and existing high bay storage buildings. All new boilers and chillers for the existing facility and the new addition. The HVAC system required a special design to keep the humidity level low. Total square feet is over 50,000 square feet.The schedule was 15 months for design and construction.
